Preparation for an event
Here are some rules of thumb when preparing for an event. For wine, 1 bottle is 750ml and 1 kit makes 27 to 30 bottles. 1 glass or bottle of beer is 375ml or about 2.5 bottles per litre and 1 kit makes 23 litres or approximately 66 bottles of beer.
- Wine for supper – 1 bottle for 2-3 adults
- Wine for a toast – 1 bottle for 4-5 adults
- Wine sampling – 1 bottle for 6-8 adults
- Beer for supper – 1 glass or bottle per adult
- Beer sampling – 1 glass or bottle for 2-3 adults
